Salt Lake City web design that brings in customers.
A website is worth what it brings in. Our Salt Lake City web design is built so more people find you on Google, and more of them call or book.
- One fixed price, in writing
- Most builds $5,000 to $40,000
- Mountain Time, same as you
How a website earns
Two numbers decide what your website earns
What your site brings in comes down to how many people find it, and how many of those call or book. Move either one and revenue moves. Move both and they multiply. We build both in from launch day.
-
How many find you
Built to Google’s best practices: a page for each service, your customers’ own words in titles and headings, fast on a phone, your Google Business Profile tied in.
-
How many call or book
Built on conversion psychology, the study of how people decide, so calling or booking is the plain, obvious next step on every page.
Round numbers, just to show the math
Twice the visitors × twice the share who call = four times the calls.
How many find you, in real numbers
One customer, four ways to type it
Someone with a burst pipe types whatever comes to mind first. Google counts each wording as its own search, but behind all four is the same customer, ready to pick up the phone.
Searches a month
Ahrefs estimates, US, October 2026

One plumbing job, four wordings
about 1,750 a month
Same story for a dental practice, three wordings about 1,250 a month
dentist salt lake city 800salt lake city dentist 300dentist slc 150
A well-built site doesn’t bet on one of them. When each job you do has its own page, written in the words people really type, you’re in the running for all four, not only the one somebody guessed at. Nobody can honestly promise you the top spot, and we won’t.
That’s the quiet half of good web design. Salt Lake City customers type their own wordings for your trade every month, and the site written in them is the one they find. The rest of that work is SEO for Salt Lake City businesses.
How many call or book
Fewer choices, more bookings
Give people too many options and many of them pick none. A few write to ask which one. The rest leave, and you never know they were there. You can offer every service you do; each page just needs one obvious next step.

Sara Beckner is a working astrologer with clients on several continents, so not a Utah business. Her old site sold readings as a menu, and prospects kept writing to say “I don’t know what I need.” Once the menu became one offer with one next step, the “which one do I book” emails stopped.

Different places, same habit: people book when the next step is obvious.
How we build
Built in Astro, so the page is there before they give up
Astro is the tool we build every site with. Your pages are made ahead of time as plain HTML, so a phone has almost no code to run before it shows them. The page is simply there, and people who would have given up waiting stay long enough to call.
None of the WordPress upkeep
- No plugins to update
- No theme to maintain
- No page-builder code on every screen
- Nothing to patch

Cahoots Tavern
Cahoots is a bar in Ouray, Colorado, that moved to us from Squarespace. The town gets a lot of road-trip traffic, so most of its visitors arrive on a phone.

Who you would work with
Kyle and Katie, the two people on your project
Bullfinch is two people, and we’re not in Salt Lake: we work with you over Google Meet, on Mountain Time. It’s the same setup for the websites we build for Ogden businesses further up the Wasatch Front. Here is who does what on your site.
-
Kyle Rutten
Designs and builds every page
Kyle started making websites when he was 14 and never stopped. He designs each page and builds it himself, so nothing gets lost between how your site looks and how it works.
-
Katie Rutten
Runs your project and the schedule
Katie runs your project and its schedule from the first call to launch, and keeps it on time. The dates are set before work starts, and she holds them.
The person on your first call is the person doing the work.
No account managers in between. Nothing handed off to another shop.
Price and timeline
What it costs, and what happens after you book
What most builds cost
$5,000 to $40,000
Where yours lands depends on your page count and what the site connects to, like booking, payments or a CRM.
You get one fixed price in writing before any work starts. That’s what we mean by honest website design: Salt Lake City owners can budget for it to the dollar, with no hourly meter and no surprise invoices.
Will it earn that back?
We won’t promise a number. What a site earns comes down to the two numbers we started with: how many people find you, and how many call or book. The price pays for work on both, and tracking from launch shows you what it brings in. To check it in your own numbers, divide the price by what one new customer is worth to you: that’s how many new customers it takes to pay for itself.
From the call to launch
Under ten pages takes four to six weeks. Bigger builds take longer, and the dates are agreed before work starts.
-
The 30-minute call

-

Each page goes up on that same link.

Every old page address redirected. Calls and forms tracked from day one.
The first step takes thirty minutes.
Six things owners ask
Before you book: the fair questions
The price and the route to launch are above. Here is everything else, answered straight.
Something we missed?
Does it matter that you’re not a Salt Lake City web design company?
Not to the work. We keep Mountain Time hours, the same clock Salt Lake runs on. We talk on Google Meet, and every stage of your site sits on a preview link you open on your phone, when it suits you.
Will it look like a template, the same as everyone else’s?
No. Every site we build starts from nothing. Sara Beckner’s reads like an engraved old almanac. Cahoots Tavern’s looks like the bar itself. Yours starts from your business, not from a theme.
If we switch, do I lose the customers Google already sends me?
You shouldn’t. We map every page address on your old site to its new page and redirect it, so people and Google land in the right place. On a recent move of an online store we checked all 588 old addresses live: 588 of 588 redirected.
Will I need a developer every time I want to change something?
No. We set up a simple editor, and you change your own text, hours, prices and photos. The domain, the code and the hosting accounts are yours, so you can take the site anywhere, including to another developer.
Am I signing up for a monthly fee?
Only if you want one. We can host and look after the site on a monthly plan: updates, plus SEO or Google Ads if you like. Or we hand it over clean and you run it yourself.
How much of my time will this take?
Mostly looking and answering. After the 30-minute call you read the written quote, check the design on the preview link from your phone, and answer our questions about your business as they come up. Katie runs the schedule, so you won’t be the one chasing dates.
The next step
Thirty minutes about your Salt Lake City website
Those four searches don’t wait for a redesign. Every month your site sits as it is, the people typing them call whoever shows up first.
Pick a time that suits you. You talk with the person who would build your new site, and we look at the one you have now, together. Bring its address and any questions.
