Greeley web design built to bring in paying customers

A custom site built to earn back what it costs: more people around Greeley find you on Google, and more of those who open it get in touch: they call, book a time or ask you for a quote. That's the only kind of Greeley web design we do.

We're a small Colorado studio, just two people, and we meet with you over video calls.

30 minutes, on video
  • 5.0 on Google
  • Your quote, fixed in writing inside a week
  • Builds from $5,000 to $40,000

1 of 2 · More calls from the visitors you have

Your website has two ways to earn. The first: more of your visitors pick up the phone

Your site makes you money when more people find it, and when more of those visitors turn into calls, bookings and quote requests. We start with the second, because it pays off on the visitors you already get, before Google sends you a single extra one.

Built in from the first draft

Whether a visitor calls or leaves comes down to a handful of things on the page. What makes people act is well studied, so we plan those things in before anything gets designed, not patched on after launch.

  1. Your customer's words in the headline

The page opens on the problem they came with, in the words they'd use, not a slogan.

  2. The next step and a sense of price, up top

Right where their eyes land first, so nobody has to dig, or leave, to find out what happens next.

  3. Proof where they decide

The reason to trust you sits beside the button they're about to press, not three scrolls further down.

  4. Your phone number, ready to tap

On a phone, any page can dial you in one tap, with no copying digits into the dialer.

What it did for two businesses

Two real clients, named by where they are. Neither one is in Greeley, and no one can promise your site the same numbers.

2 of 2 · Greeley web design that gets found

The second: more people around Greeley find you

Nobody calls a business they never found. Getting found starts with how the site is built, so every page we make follows the practices Google publishes for site owners, from day one. This is what we put in.

On the page

What your customers read

A separate page for every job you do

Someone searching for one job lands on a page about that job, written in the words they typed, not on a homepage that lists everything you do.

Greeley and the area you serve, in writing

The town and the area you cover are on the pages themselves, so Google can match you with the people searching there.

Behind the page

What only Google sees

Details in the code that say what and where you are

Each page carries a short note written for Google, not for visitors: your business, what you sell and the area you cover, so Google doesn't have to guess. Web people call it structured data.

Your Google Business Profile, tied to the site

Your Google Maps listing and your website link to each other and tell Google the same thing about you, so people who find one can reach the other.

At launch

What you keep, and what you can see

See which searches find you, from launch day

Google keeps a report for every site owner on which searches you turn up for and which pages people open. We connect it at launch, so it's there for you from the start. Its name is Search Console.

Every old page address forwarded

Each page of your old site sends visitors, and Google, on to its new page. The standing you've built up with Google comes with you instead of starting again from nothing.

Proof from a site move

Outlaw Industries makes access-control equipment. When we moved their site to a new one, every old page address went to its new page, and each one was checked afterward.

588 of 588 old addresses forwarded and checked

Nobody can guarantee your spot on Google, and we'll never claim otherwise. What this does is leave Google nothing to guess about what you sell and where you work.

Different customers, different questions

One website, a clear way in for each kind of customer

Lots of businesses sell to two or more kinds of people at once: new and returning patients, homeowners and builders, walk-in shoppers and trade buyers, a feedlot and a family. One homepage written for everyone talks past all of them. Each arrives with their own questions, and nobody wants to dig through someone else's answers to find theirs.

So we give each kind of customer its own way in, right on the first screen, and a page beyond it that speaks to the work they do. When people find their page in one click, fewer of them give up and more of them call.

StrataLock: three kinds of customer, three ways in

StrataLock fixes foundations, and its customers are homeowners, the owners of commercial buildings, and contractors working on infrastructure. We built its site so the homepage hands each of them their own part of the site. Pick a visitor and follow them in.

Inside the StrataLock build

On your site, the ways in are named for your own customers, in the words they'd use. Each kind of customer you serve adds pages to the build, and that's counted in the fixed price on your written quote.

Two languages, one website

Spanish pages for the Greeley customers who read in Spanish

In Greeley, Spanish is the language at home for about 22 of every 100 people. If some of them are your customers, they should be able to find you when they search in Spanish, and land on a page that sounds like a person wrote it.

use Spanish as their language at home

8,586

of them speak English less than "very well"

Source: US Census Bureau, American Community Survey, 2020–2024

Why a translate button doesn't reach them

The Spanish a translate button makes only shows up after someone is already on your site and taps it. Google never shows that text to people searching in Spanish, so most of them never get as far as your site. The few who do tap it get stiff, machine-made Spanish that a native reader spots within a line or two.

What goes into your Spanish pages

  1. An address of their own

Each Spanish page lives at its own address, like yoursite.com/es/calefaccion, so it can be found, saved and sent to a friend on its own.

  2. A language switch that remembers

One tap moves a visitor between English and Spanish, and every page they open after that stays in the language they picked.

  3. Spanish titles in the search results

Every Spanish page gets a Spanish title and description of its own, so the listing someone reads on Google is in Spanish before they tap it.

  4. A note telling Google which is which

Each English page and its Spanish version point to each other behind the scenes, so Google shows every searcher the one in their own language.

A fluent speaker writes or checks every word of the Spanish: someone on your team who knows your customers, or a professional translator. Spanish pages go on the same written quote as the rest of your site, so you know the full cost before any work starts.

What your site is built with

Built in Astro, so it opens fast and has nothing to patch

Every site we make is built in Astro, and you never need to know what that is. If yours runs on WordPress today, that's no criticism: plenty of good sites do. Ours are simply made another way. What you'll notice is that your pages show up quickly, even on one bar of signal, and there's no list of updates waiting on you.

After your customer taps your link Signal: one bar

Many sites

  1. The page gets put together after the tap
  2. Each add-on does its part
  3. Then it's sent to the phone
  4. On your customer's screen

The site we build you

  1. The page is already made, so it's sent straight away
  2. On your customer's screen

Fewer things happen before the page appears, so it appears sooner.

Why speed is money

Fast pays you twice

With your customers
A blank screen on a weak signal doesn't hold anyone for long. They go back to Google and tap the next business. The sooner your page appears, the more of them are still around to pick up the phone.
With Google
Google counts page speed among the signals it uses to decide what to show. A fast site gives it one less reason to put someone else above you.

No add-ons to keep updated

A lot of sites lean on add-ons, and every one of them brings its own updates for someone to install and check. Yours won't carry that pile, so nothing sits waiting for you to patch.

Your words, photos, prices and hours stay yours to change

You have a login of your own. Change a price, swap a photo or post your holiday hours whenever you like, without calling us or waiting on anyone.

The whole team, both of them

Who builds your website

Bullfinch is a Colorado studio with a staff of two: Kyle and Katie Rutten. You'd meet them over video calls, and the pair of them handle all of it, from the first hello to launch.

Plans, designs and codes your site

Kyle Rutten

Kyle took up web design at 14 and has never put it down. He designs each site we make and writes all of its code himself, which means the person choosing what makes your visitors call is the same one putting it on the page. Nothing gets lost between a designer and a developer, because there's only him.

Your first call is with him: 30 minutes on video, talking to the one who'd actually build your site.

Runs your build and its timeline

Katie Rutten

Once you give the go-ahead, Katie takes charge of your project. She sets the timeline, and she tells you what's coming up, when it lands, and anything she needs from you, so your part of the work is always spelled out. If you have a question about your account, she's the person to ask.

Any week you want an update, she'll tell you the next step and its date.

  • No go-between account manager
  • No hand-off to a junior
  • No outside shop doing the build

Everyone you speak with has their own hands on your site. What you tell Kyle about your customers on that first call ends up in the pages he builds, with nobody passing it along in between.

Greeley web design, priced up front

$5,000 to $40,000, fixed in writing before any work starts

That range covers most of the sites we build. Where yours falls depends on how much the site has to do for you, and you'll see your own figure, on paper, before you say yes to anything.

Five things that set your price

  • How many pages

Each job you want people to find you for gets its own page. A shop with three services needs fewer pages than a contractor with twelve.

  • How many kinds of customer you serve

Sell to farms and to households, and each group gets its own way in and its own pages behind it. Every extra group adds to the build.

  • Spanish pages

Only if you want them. They're scoped and priced along with everything else, not tacked on later.

  • Booking or quoting tools

A way for customers to pick a time, or send you the details of a job for a quote, right from your pages.

  • Moving your old site over

The more pages your current site has, the more there is to carry across and point at its new address.

How long it takes

A small site can be live in about three weeks

Cahoots Tavern, in Ouray, Colorado, went from concept to live in 18 days. Bigger builds take longer, and your quote names the date yours goes live.

Bring the price question to the call. You'll get a straight answer on whether a new site would pay for itself, and what would go on your quote.

Greeley web design: what's left to ask

What Greeley owners want to know before they say yes

Price is covered above. Here are the other worries owners raise before booking, and each answer starts with the short version.

Something we haven't covered? Raise it with us on the call.

  1. You're not based in Greeley. Will that be a problem?

Not for the way we work. We're a two-person Colorado studio, and every one of our clients works with us over video calls. You work with the same two people from your first call to launch day and after it, with nobody in between. What ties the site to Greeley is written into the pages: your town, the places you serve and the words your customers use to find you.

  2. Will a new site bring in more work, or just look newer?

It's built to bring in work. Every page is planned around two jobs: getting found by people nearby who need what you sell, and getting them to call, book or ask for a quote once they land. Google Search Console is set up the day you launch, so you can see for yourself the searches your site shows up for. Where Google ranks you is Google's call, so we won't promise a position.

  3. Will I lose the spot I have on Google now?

Every old address gets forwarded. Before launch, every address on your current site is sent on to the page taking its place. A customer who taps an old Google result or a bookmark from years back ends up on the right new page, not a dead one, and Google passes what those old pages had earned on to the new ones.

  4. Can I change things on it myself?

Yes, through your own login. Edit the words on a page, swap in new photos or change your hours whenever you need to. No email to us, and no waiting on our schedule.

  5. Do I own the website, or do you?

You own it. The site and the domain name are both yours, not rented from us, and they stay yours whoever you work with later.

  6. How much of my week will this eat up?

A few calls and some reading. You tell us about your business and your customers, then read each page as it comes in and flag anything that's off. The design and the build are on us, and you'll hear ahead of time whenever we need something from you.

Greeley web design: your next step

Find out what your website could be earning: book a 30-minute call

Kyle, who designs and builds every site himself, takes the call on Google Meet. You come away knowing whether a new one is worth paying for.

Three things we'll go through

  1. What your site does today

How customers reach it, what they see when they land, and what stands between them and a phone call.

  2. What your customers need from it

Who buys from you, how they describe what you sell, and what they need to see before they get in touch.

  3. A straight yes or no on a new site

If one should earn back what it costs, you'll hear how. If it won't, you'll hear that too, and that's where we leave it.

The cost of leaving it for later

Every week your current site sends a customer away, the job goes to whoever's site made it easier to pick up the phone.
