Coach website design that books discovery calls
Good coach website design starts with how clients find you. A referral, a podcast or a post sends people to look you up; others search Google for the kind of coach they need. We build the site for those searches: a page in the words they use, made the way Google asks, that turns the right visitors into booked discovery calls. And you own it.
$5,000 to $40,000, fixed in writing before we start 5.0 on Google
Your website should fill your calendar
A coaching practice earns in a plain way: the clients you take on, times what each one is worth across a package of sessions. So one more right-fit client a month is not a small thing. It is a whole package you did not have before.
That is the job we give your website. Not to look finished, but to put the right people on your calendar. A site does that in two ways.
Found
More of the right people find you
Plenty of people look for a coach the way they look for anything else: they search Google for the kind of help they want. A site that shows up for those searches reaches clients your referrals and posts never will.
Booked
More of the ones who arrive book a call
Whether they came from a search, a podcast or a friend's recommendation, a visitor should see on one page who you help and how to start. When they do, they book the discovery call instead of drifting back to their feed.
Most coach sites do neither
- A template that opens with a biography
- A menu of packages to choose between
- A popup asking for an email
The visitor leaves not sure what to book.
Every site we build does both from day one
Our coaching website design follows the order in which a stranger decides to trust a coach:
- Who it's for
- What changes for them
- What it costs
- How to start
And it's built to Google's own guidance for speed, phones and structure, so it opens quickly on a phone and Google can tell what each page is about.
People search for the coach they need
Someone who has never heard of you doesn't search for your name. They search for the kind of coaching they want, and Google looks for a page that answers in those words. Here is how often that happens in a month.

What Google can match to “life coach”
Your homepage
Your story, your method, a button to book.
Nothing to match
A page for your life coaching clients
Who it's for and what changes, in the words they search.
A match
Ahrefs monthly US estimates, pulled October 2026
Google can't send anyone to a page that doesn't exist.
A homepage about you gives it nothing to work with. So each kind of client you help gets a page of its own, written in the words they search. Ahrefs rates most of the biggest searches here near the bottom of its 0 to 100 difficulty scale: life coach 2, career coach 3, executive coaching 2. That's no promise of a place in the results, and we won't make one. It does mean the door is open.
A first visit that ends in a booked call
Most people meet your website on a phone. They tap a link in a podcast's show notes, under a LinkedIn post or in a friend's text, and somewhere between two other things they decide whether you're the coach for them. That first visit is what web design for coaches has to get right, and it comes down to what they see, in what order.
What a stranger sees, top to bottom
-
01First screen
Who you help, and what changes for them
Before anyone scrolls, the top of the page tells them whether they're the person you work with and what will be different once they've worked with you. Your story can come later.
-
02Next
One offer, and how it starts
One clear way to work with you and the first step into it. Nobody should have to compare packages and decode their names before they can book.
-
03Then
What it costs, or where it starts
A price on the page, or the figure it starts from. Visitors don't have to book a call just to ask, and the people who do book already know it's within reach.
-
04Before they book
What happens on the first call
How long it is, what you'll talk about and what they'll leave with. The less a stranger has to guess, the easier yes becomes.
-
05Every page
Your calendar, one tap away
A button to book the discovery call sits on every page, so whoever is ready can book from wherever they are. And there's a short form for people who'd rather write to you first.
Built in Astro
Quick to open from a link
Astro-built, with almost no JavaScript. Each page is made ahead of time as plain HTML, so a phone has very little to load and the page is there almost as soon as they tap, wherever they happen to be.
- No page builder
- No theme
- No one-size-fits-all platform deciding what your site can do
The closest work to yours
A one-person practice we built: Sara Beckner Astrology
Sara is an astrologer, not a coach. We show her site here because her practice runs much like yours: one person, sessions that are mostly conversation and counsel, clients on several continents she has never met in person, and private hours to sell to them.
-
One hour instead of a menu
Her old site listed readings like a menu, and people kept writing to her with the same line: “I don't know what I need.” We rebuilt the offer as one private hour in four rhythms, from a single session to weekly, with every rate on the page.
$169 $149 $139 $129 an hour
-
Her first step, on her own calendar
Her free 15-minute call books straight onto her own calendar from any page. Anyone who'd sooner explain things in writing has a form for that instead.
-
Her podcast lives on her site
The monthly show has its own page with every episode archived, so a listener who wants more finds the episodes and the call in the same place.
- Homepage approved, with zero revisions
- 2 days
- Full site live after the first design
- 29 days
Who builds it, and what it takes from you
Bullfinch is two people, Kyle and Katie Rutten, and we do the work ourselves. Nobody sits in between, so the person you tell about your practice is the person who builds the site.
Designs and builds your site
Kyle Rutten
Kyle designs and builds every site we make, and he's the one you'll talk to on the intro call. He started making websites when he was 14.
Runs your project
Katie Rutten
Katie runs the project from the day you say yes until launch: what's due, from whom and by when. Thirty-plus active clients, every project on schedule. You won't be chasing anyone for an update.
You won't have to write about yourself
Most coaches find it easier to help a client than to describe how they do it. So you won't be left with a blank page. We write every page from a conversation with you, in the words you already use when you talk about your work.
You read it, mark anything that doesn't sound like you, and we change it. The pages read as yours, and you never have to sit down and draft them.

More about Kyle and KatieWhat a coaching website costs
This is the range we publish for coach website design. Where your site lands in it depends on the five things below. On a 30-minute call we hear what your practice needs, and your exact price comes back as a fixed quote, in writing, within a week.
Most sites we build
$5,000 to $40,000
One price for the build, not a monthly plan you can never get out of.
What moves it for a coach
-
How many pages
One page for each kind of client you help, plus the ones every practice needs: about you, your offer, how working together goes, and how to get in touch.
-
Booking and payments
Discovery calls booked from any page, and sessions or packages paid for on the site if you'd like clients to pay you there.
-
A podcast, videos or writing
An archive for your episodes, talks or articles on your own site, rather than spread across other people's apps.
-
More than one offer
A group program or a second offer beside your one-to-one work, each with a page of its own that explains it and shows how to start.
-
Ongoing SEO or Google Ads
Optional help after launch to bring in more people who are searching. Every site is built to Google's own guidance whether you add it or not.
A fixed price, in writing
Within a week of our call you get a quote that sets the scope and the price. Nothing is billed by the hour, so the number you agree to is the number you pay.
The site is yours
The domain, the code and the hosting accounts belong to you. You can take the site anywhere, and you change your own text, prices and photos in a simple editor we set up.
After launch, you choose
We can host it and keep it updated each month, with SEO or Google Ads on top if you want them. Or we hand the site over clean, and it's all yours to run.
Your exact price starts with half an hour with Kyle.
Book a callQuestions coaches ask before they book
Short, plain answers to what coaches usually still want to know at this point. If yours isn't here, ask Kyle on the call.
Do I own the site, or am I renting it month to month?
You own it, all of it. The domain, the code and the hosting accounts are yours, so if you ever want to leave, the site leaves with you. After launch we can host it and look after it each month if you'd like us to. If not, we hand everything over and you run it yourself.
Most of my clients come from referrals. Do I still need a website?
Yes, because referrals look you up first. Someone hears your name from a friend or on a podcast, then searches for you before they get in touch. Your website is what they find, and it either backs up the recommendation or leaves them unsure. It's also how people with no referral at all can find you.
Have you built a coach's website before?
Not a coach's yet. The closest is Sara Beckner's one-person practice: she's an astrologer who sells private sessions, mostly conversation, to clients she has often never met in person. Her site has the same job yours would have, getting a stranger to book a first call, and you can see what we built for her.
I'm not a writer. Who writes the pages?
We do. One conversation about your practice and the people you help gives us what we need, and we draft every page from it. Your part is reading the drafts and telling us where they don't sound like you.
Can I change my offer and prices myself?
Yes. We set you up with a simple editor, so your text, prices, hours and photos are yours to change whenever your practice changes. You don't have to email us and wait.
Will I lose what my current site ranks for?
We work to keep it. Each page address on your current site is mapped to its new page and redirected, so saved links and the pages Google already knows still lead somewhere useful. Nobody can promise a ranking, and we won't, but we don't throw away what your old site has earned.
Do I need SEO or ads as well?
Not to start. Search is part of the build: whether it's life coach website design or a site for an executive coach, every page is made the way Google asks, from the words on it to how quickly it opens. Later, if you'd like more people finding you sooner, we offer ongoing SEO or Google Ads. That part is optional.
Book 30 minutes about your coaching website
Tell us who you coach and what you want more of. We'll say what we'd build for your practice and roughly what it would take, and the fixed quote follows in writing within a week.
Why now
A new site takes about 60 days to build and launch. Until yours is live, the people searching for your kind of coach find someone else's page, and book their discovery call there.
