01 / Brief

A metal roofing shop, written for the contractor on the other end of the phone.

In short
The brief

Full Scope Metals is a custom roofing fabricator in Kremmling, Colorado — panels, trims, fasteners, underlayments, built to spec for contractors working high country and mountain regions. Their old site read like a generic supplier catalog. None of the field knowledge that actually separates them came through.

What we built

A site that sounds like the shop, not the marketing department. Direct copy about how orders actually get drawn, approved and built. A products section organized by what a contractor reaches for on a job. Quote requests that go straight to someone who picks up.

The result

Contractors land on a page that respects how they actually work — fast loading, no spam form, every product fabricated to spec, on their timeline. Quote requests are now the primary conversion, and they're the right kind.

About the build

Direct, fast, built for the field.

Pages shipped 8 Home, about, products (with seven categories), Flash Deck™ product page, quote request, contact — nothing a contractor doesn't need.
Lighthouse · mobile 100/100 Job sites get bad reception. The site loads on a contractor's phone in less than a second on 3G.
Quote form fields 4 Name, phone, project, what they need. Anything more and contractors bail. We measured.
Words from the client
"

Katie’s design blew me away and Kyle and Katie were super attentive and nailed my vision!!! 10/10, highly recommend! From day one and first draft of my completely new website I was blown away. I will continue to work with the Bullfinch team moving forward!

03 / How we did it

Three weeks, contractor-first.

01

We talked to actual contractors first.

Spent the first week on the phone with framers, roofers, and builders who'd ordered from Full Scope. Asked them what they wished a supplier site would tell them. Then we wrote the homepage around their answers.

02

Products organized by job, not by SKU.

Standing seam, snow retention, trims, fasteners, underlayment — grouped the way contractors actually pull them. Each card answers 'what is it, when do I use it, how fast can you ship.'

03

The form is the product.

For a B2B supplier, the quote form IS the website. We cut it to four fields, hooked it to a real inbox, and confirmed every submission gets a same-day reply from a human.

04 / Mobile

Most quote requests come from a phone on the job.
